Have you ever heard of aerial hunting? It’s a brutal practice. Wolves are shot from low-flying aircraft or chased to exhaustion, then killed at point-blank range.

Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican nominee for Vice President, promotes this barbaric practice, exploiting a loophole in the Federal Airborne Hunting Act to allow private wolf killers to shoot down wolves using aircraft. To encourage the killing, she even proposed a $150 bounty for the left foreleg of each dead wolf!

As the Russian - Georgia conflict continues, I would like to petition my voice, on calling all Russian military forces to stand down and withdraw from the Democratic Republic of Georgia and hand over the two breakaway provinces to the rightful democratic elected government, Georgia.

As the Bush Administration made decision on supporting the small democratic country of Georgia instead of Russian Federation, I support the decision. And I also support Georgia on attempting to gain membership with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) before the conflict started. I would also support a Ukraine membership to NATO, if this would happen. This will prevent Russia on aggressively grabbing territories, which are former Soviet republics. And I also support the decision of humanitarian aid for the Democratic Republic of Georgia.

I’m not a Bush fan, but I opposed the Iraqi War but I supported the Afghanistan war on Al Qaeda. I oppose the off-shore drilling and I support alternative energy. I opposed the gay marriage amendment on U.S. Constition, and I support the Endangered Species Act and the environment!

This is all I’m going to say. God bless America, God bless European Union, and God bless NATO and American allies.

The truth is that the U.S. sits on less than 3 percent of the world’s oil reserves. Even if we drill every corner of America, the oil will only amount to a drop in the bucket and won’t have an impact on prices.

Big Oil is trying to call the shots but there are better solutions like strong fuel economy standards and renewable energy. It’s important we continue to tell Nancy Pelosi and Congress to stand firm and bring these solutions to Americans.
